Is the Financial Crisis Over? A Survey of Our Economy, and Our Prospects

Tuesday, December 4, 2012

8:30 am - 10:30 am

Understanding the mindset of our constituents during this financially challenging time is essential as we inform them, engage them, and earn their support. The uncertainty can be paralyzing: What can be expected from the results of the presidential election? Was the National Bureau of Economic Research correct in saying that recessionary conditions are behind us given the mixed economic fundamentals over the ensuing period? And while endowments have enjoyed a sustained recovery, will this upward trend last? Have the bases for the financial crisis been sufficiently resolved? What does the current economic landscape look like? And as we plan for the long-term strength of our institutions, what might we anticipate will emerge as potential pockets of financial health and growth in the near-to-medium term? Join us for a presentation and conversation about today's economy through the advancement lens, and come away with a clearer understanding of the economic climate in order to strengthen your research, inform your communications, and inspire your development strategies.

Coffee and light refreshments are included.
