PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Join us to discuss various strategies for measuring donor engagement (affinity, inclination, etc.). Tufts developed an affinity score three years ago. We will talk about what led to the development of the score, the methodology we used to develop it, where it lives in the database and how we introduced the score to the organization. We will also go over various ways the score is used and offer some tips and tricks in developing your own scoring system using excel.


PRESENTERS:

Tory Pedonti is the Associate Director of Prospect Management at Tufts University; she joined the prospect development team at Tufts in 2015. Tory came to Tufts from Colby College where she served as Assistant Director of Prospect Research and Development. Prior to that she held positions in prospect research and development systems at Washington National Cathedral. Tory graduated from Scripps College in Claremont, CA with a B.A. in Studio Art.


Kristen Watson joined Tufts in March 2013. She is responsible for the overall operations of the department, including the oversight and management of all prospect researchers and the prospect management team .Prior to joining Tufts, Kristen served as Associate Director of Prospect Development at Boston College. Kristen joined the prospect research field in 2003 at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and continued her career at Northeastern University before joining Boston College. Kristen is an active member of APRA and NEDRA. Kristen graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern University, with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism with a concentration in public relations. In 2007 she earned a master’s degree in leadership with a concentration in non-profit management also from Northeastern University.
